Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Pittsburgh peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We take my 7 year grand daughter here they are wonderful! After three months she is already doing the backstroke and freestyle. Mary is great with her! The pool is very clean and they offer memberships. Highly recommend coming here!

10/10 recommend taking your kids here for swim lessons! I took my 7 year old niece who was scared to put her head under water and after two weeks Mary had her going under. She progressed very well from Maryβs instructions. Mary is very patient with her and helpful. The pool is very nice and clean. They also offer memberships for the pool and we are ended up getting one with how wonderful the service is!

Wonderful indoor & outdoor pool. Saunas are great too! They even allow mermaids to swim which is a rarity in the area π§π½ββοΈβ¨

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have been calling for 2 weeks to schedule swim lessons for my son. Every time I call Mary was extreme rude and gave me an excuse as to why she couldnβt help me. I called today and it was another excuse and she actually hung up on me. What a total jerk. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

We moved to Penn Hills and decided to join the club because they have an outdoor pool and an indoor pool, and we thought itβs the only heated indoor year-round pool near us and we wanted to swim during winter. $55/month in the summer is definitely worth it. You get two pools, a gym, sauna and steam room. I joined for the winter but the price is just not worth it. Thereβs a gym thatβs actually pretty decent. The bathroom and fitting/lockers rooms could use some work. Showers are rinse off only, no curtains. The office area is sooo cluttered and thereβs always food everywhere and there is no bell to ring if you have questions and thereβs rarely anyone at the desk. You just sign in whenever you get there at the desk on your own. Hopefully you donβt have any questions. The sauna and steam room is pretty nice to have. My boyfriend uses it very often. We went every other day during the summer to swim laps because the outside pool is amazing! Itβs huge and thereβs plenty of places to lounge. They have tons of floaties and big pool toys which is really great. You can bring food and drinks and make a day of it. The only negative about the outside pool is there are no outside bathrooms/ch
